AI will spend $6.4 billion in the Middle East by 2026

According to this, Gulf countries like UAE, Saudi and Qatar, whose main activity is oil production, are spending more on AI in their countries than European countries. Middle Eastern countries will spend around $3 billion on AI this year, rising to $6.4 billion over the next three years, i.e. by 2026.
Why spend so much on AI?
The big question is why are the Gulf countries spending so much on AI? According to the report, the main activity of the Gulf countries is oil production. These countries want to make AI a major part of their economy, so that they can have new sources of income besides oil. People in the Gulf countries, especially Saudi Arabia, are largely positive about AI.

In a survey, information was sought from people here about international trends related to AI. The question was whether the use of AI in consumer products and services is more beneficial or harmful? The people of Saudi Arabia were very enthusiastic about it and they said that it was profitable.

World’s first AI minister in UAE
United Arab Emirates i.e. the United Arab Emirates is number one among the countries that have adopted AI technology nationally. It is the first country in the world to even appoint an AI minister. Then many countries like Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Qatar and Saudi Arabia started following in the footsteps of the UAE and most of them have adopted this strategy in the last three years.
AI will build a new city in Saudi
Saudi Arabia is planning to take full cooperation of AI to establish its new and ambitious city of Neom. But the Gulf countries also think differently about AI. Currently artificial intelligence like chatbots are being used here. But it is expected to increase further in the future.
Greater use of AI in public facilities
AI is being used similarly in the Gulf countries at the moment. As in other countries. For example, AI can be used here, in the form of chatbots or to facilitate government services for electricity and water, to enhance digital financial services, to analyze the performance of companies like Emirates Airlines or to obtain data related to local healthcare. In May this year, the UAE released its own version of ChatGPT.
