What is most important in the car: A few days ago there was an advertisement of a car company on TV. The tag line was – ‘Kaar kitna deti hai?’ Now that is past. People’s attitude towards car buying is changing very fast. Where earlier cars were sold on looks and mileage, now people are looking at safety features before buying a car. This information has emerged in a recent survey.

The biggest concern is security

Safety is one of the biggest concerns among consumers when buying a car and the decision to buy a car depends on their safety rating and the number of air bags the car has. This has been said in a survey report. According to a survey conducted by Skoda Auto India and NIQ Base, the fuel efficiency measure has now moved to the third position when buying a car.

Car safety rating

The survey found that there is a strong consumer preference for vehicle safety features and 9 out of 10 consumers believed that all vehicles in India should have a safety rating. According to the study, while buying a car, the customer’s decision mostly depends on the car’s crash rating. In the survey, 22.3 percent of customers liked it, while 21.6 percent liked the number of airbags. When it comes to the vehicle’s crash rating, 22.2 percent of consumers chose a 5-star rating and 21.3 percent chose a 4-star rating.

Fuel efficiency is still a big factor

According to the survey, a zero crash rating was chosen by 6.8 percent of customers as the lowest. According to the report, fuel efficiency was the third most important factor when buying a car with 15 percent of consumers. According to a PTI-Bhasha report, it said that around 67 percent of the respondents are already car owners, with cars worth more than five lakh rupees. About 33 percent of the respondents do not own a car but would like to buy a car worth more than five lakh rupees within a year.
