Hyundai has launched its Extor car in the Indian market. Hyundai’s Xter SUV is a car with safety features. The car will compete with Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. Available in CNG and Petrol

Hyundai is offering the Xter with petrol and CNG powertrains. Both use the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. It produces a maximum power of 81.86 Bhp and a peak torque of 113.8 Nm. Running on CNG, these figures come down to 68 Bhp and 95.2 Nm. Peak power comes at 6,000 rpm while peak torque output comes at 4,000 rpm. The petrol powertrain is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. The CNG powertrain gets only a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Exeter has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm and a height of 1,631 mm. The car features a segment-first electric sunroof. In terms of mileage, the Exeter promises 19.4 kmpl for the manual and 19.2 kmpl for the automatic. CNG mileage is 27.1 km/kg.

Talking about the Tata Punch, the starting price of this car is also Rs 5.99 lakh. In terms of safety, this car has received a 5 star rating from Global NCAP. This car is very strong in terms of build quality. In such a situation, Hyundai’s SUV Xtor will have a tough competition with Tata Punch.
