German carmaker Mercedes Benz has unveiled the 4 cylinder hybrid AMG GLC. It is said that Mercedes will soon launch the standard variant of the new GLC in India. The Mercedes-Benz GLC is a compact luxury crossover SUV, launched in 2015 and 2016. It replaced the GLK-Class. According to Mercedes-Benz, it is the SUV equivalent of the C-Class. However, it is officially considered compact. It is considered mid-sized in the US market.
Why does Mercedes keep the GLC with the SUV?

Production of the GLC began in Finland in 2017

The Mercedes AMG GLC gets a 3-liter bi-turbo six-cylinder engine, which has been replaced by a 2-liter four-cylinder. It’s like a ballistic Mercedes-AMG A45S. If you opt for the more powerful GLC 63, this engine comes with an electric motor. Being a plug-in hybrid, the GLC 63 gets a 6.1kWh battery pack, but note that the car’s electrical system is designed to deliver maximum performance. It still offers a relatively decent electric-only driving range of 12 kilometers if you’re looking to save some fuel.
