ISRO’s journey to this success has been marked by both challenges and triumphs. Although India’s second lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, only achieved partial success, Chandrayaan-3 triumphantly landed on the Moon’s southern surface on August 23, 2023. This historic event was celebrated nationwide, leading the Indian government to declare August 23 as ‘National Space Day.’
