2000 rupee note Customers of e-commerce company Amazon can now use Rs 2,000 notes to recharge their Amazon Pay accounts under the Cash on Delivery service. The agency has started this facility in view of the difficulties people are facing in exchanging Rs 2,000 notes.
The company said customers can deposit a maximum of Rs 50,000 in their Amazon Pay account in a month, including Rs 2,000 notes. The Amazon Pay at home recharge facility will help customers spend up to Rs 2,000 through digital transactions.
Don’t worry if the store doesn’t accept Rs 2,000 notes for payment, Amazon said. You can pass that note to our agent on your next cash-on-delivery order.
On May 19, the Reserve Bank of India announced the demonetisation of the Rs 2,000 note. This note has to be deposited in the bank account by September 30 or can be exchanged for other notes by visiting the bank.
