Meta Small Business Academy: Technology firm Meta said it has entered into a partnership with Confederation of All India Traders (CAT). Under this, 1 million businessmen will be trained to use the WhatsApp business app in the next three years. This initiative will help merchants to reach more customers and grow their business.

Meta, owner of WhatsApp, Instagram along with Facebook, has announced the launch of ‘Meta Small Business Academy’, a new program to teach budding entrepreneurs digital marketing skills. The company said the Meta Small Business Academy training will especially help new entrepreneurs acquire important digital marketing skills. CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that businesses of all sizes use WhatsApp to connect with their customers and hence this training is urgently needed.
Syllabus and examination in seven languages
Meta Small Business Academy training will specifically help budding entrepreneurs acquire critical digital marketing skills. To make the program accessible to small and medium entrepreneurs across India, its syllabus and examination have been made available in seven languages - English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu, according to a PTI-Basa report.
