
Android Warning: A new threat is threatening smartphone users these days. The name is DAAM Android Virus. The National Cyber Security Agency has issued a warning in this regard.

Apart from affecting the performance of the device, Android virus is also making a dent in users’ contacts, call records, camera and history.

According to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), this virus is so dangerous that it even bypasses the phone’s antivirus program.

CERT-In reported that this Android virus is spreading through third-party sites and applications downloaded from unknown sources.

The advisory issued by the government agency also states that DAAM virus can access your contacts, camera, call recording, device password, screenshot capture, SMS spying, file download-upload and send data to command and control servers. by doing

As a warning, beware of ‘bitly’ and ‘tinyurl’ hyperlinks and URLs like ‘tinyurl.com/’. Users are advised to check the full domain of any website they visit. Do not click on any unknown links.
