Billionaire Elon Musk, best known for his ventures into electric cars, space exploration and social media, has launched his much-anticipated artificial intelligence startup, xAI. Kasturi’s company is going to compete with chatgpty. The website states that XAI aims to understand the true nature of the universe.
The team is led by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and will include executives who have previously worked at leading companies in the field of artificial intelligence. These include Google, Microsoft, DeepMind and Tesla. According to the company’s website, on Friday, July 14, Musk and his team will share information about it with the world in a live Twitter space chat and give people a chance to ask questions.
Build a talented team for xAI
Musk co-founded OpenAI, the company responsible for ChatGPT, stepping down from its board in 2018 to focus on Tesla. According to reports, Musk has assembled a talented team for xAI, including veterans at major tech companies. Team members include Igor Babushkin, formerly of Google’s DeepMind. Tony Wu, a former Google employee; Christian Sejedi, a research scientist at Google; and Greg Young, who previously worked at Microsoft.
Let us tell you that Musk had said in April that he would launch TruthGPT AI to compete with Google’s Bird and Microsoft’s Bing AI, which tries to understand the nature of the universe.
For this reason xAI was launched on 12 July.
In a hint as to why Musk chose July 12, 2023 to announce the launch of xAI, he said in a tweet that ‘7-12-23 adds date to 42’. In fact, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a science fiction classic by Douglas Adams. In it, the number 42 is described as the answer to life, the universe and everything.
