eSARAS Mobile App for Women Self Help Groups: The Government of India has launched a mobile application to make products developed by women’s self-help groups accessible to more people. The Union Ministry of Rural Development has launched a mobile application to sell products made by women’s self-help groups (SHGs).
‘E-Saars’ app launched for online sale of products made by women associated with self-help groups under Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission.
According to the information provided by the Ministry, the e-Saras app has been conceived for the marketing of fine and genuine handicrafts and handloom products. According to a PTI-Bhasha report, Rural Development Secretary Shailesh Kumar Singh released the app. Apart from this, he also inaugurated the e-Saras Purntana Kendra set up at the Ministry’s office in Janakpuri, Delhi.
