Renault Mid-Size SUV: French automobile company Renault India is gearing up to re-enter the mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV) market. The company intends to bring three new models in the country by 2025 (Renault New SUV). Venkatram Mamilapalle, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Renault India’s Indian operations informed this information.
The company will also enter the 4.3 meter segment
Mamilapalle said the company is preparing to enter this segment with several innovations. Renault currently sells three models in the Indian market – Kwid, Triber and Kiger. He said all three existing models will continue. We will bring new products. We will probably also enter the segment of more than four meters i.e. 4.3 meters. The company has now stopped selling the Duster model.
The company’s portfolio will have six products by 2025
The company is gearing up to enter a segment where it will face competition from established models like the Creta, Seltos and Grand Vitara. Speaking to PTI, Mamilapalle said, “Hopefully we will land the same way we came with Duster.” We will bring many innovations in this segment. The company has now stopped selling the Duster model. By 2025, the company will have six products in its portfolio, he said.
