Even though the userbase of the app is growing rapidly, but compared to Twitter, people are liking this app less. The reason is the glitch and less features of the app. After the launch of this app, many people asked this question on Twitter and Threads, will Threads replace Twitter? Now the answer to this question has been given by the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri himself.
Actually, The Verg journalist Alex Heath had asked the Instagram head a similar question, in response to which Mosseri said that the goal of Threads is not to replace Twitter. Instead it aims to create a public space on Instagram for communities that never really adopted Twitter. Mosseri said Threads is aimed at communities that are interested in a less angry space for conversation, not Twitter.
Threads are not for hard news
In response to another question, Mosseri said that politics and hard news would be less visible on this platform as it is on Instagram. He said that Threads is not for hard news and politics, nor will the company promote these verticals. Mosseri said that apart from hard news and politics, there are many such verticals through which the platform can be taken forward and the company and users can earn good money from them.
The popularity of threads is also huge because Twitter users are fed up with one decision after another being taken by Elon Musk and they wanted an alternative. With the advent of threads, people have got a good option and people are fast switching to it.
