Mahindra & Mahindra’s first batch of Scorpio Classic in army hands, know its special features

New Delhi: Indian automobile sector giant Mahindra & Mahindra has handed over the first batch of Scorpio Classic to the Indian Army. The Scorpio Classic is an SUV and Mahindra & Mahindra recently ordered 1,850 Scorpio Classics for the Indian Army. The company has announced that it has delivered the first batch of Scorpio Classic to the Indian Army. According to a media report, the Indian Army will deploy company-supplied vehicles in 12 units. Scorpio Classic is an updated new version of Scorpio. The company is also selling the new Scorpio N, which is an all-new model.

These vehicles are used in the army

According to reports, the Indian Army is already using Tata Safari, Tata Xenon, Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Gypsy. The addition of the Scorpio Classic to the army’s vehicle fleet will further enhance its capabilities. Mahindra is expected to equip the Scorpio Classic with a 4X4 powertrain. This means that it is said to have the 2.2-liter engine found in it, which could be the previous generation, which produced around 140 horsepower.

The Scorpio Classic currently uses a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which generates 130 horsepower and 300 Nm of peak torque. It sends power to the rear wheels using only a 6-speed gearbox. There is no automatic transmission or 4X4 powertrain on the Scorpio Classic. Mahindra has made several changes to the Scorpio Classic. The new engine is 55 kg lighter than the previous generation. According to Mahindra, at least 230 Nm of torque is available from 1,000 rpm. The company says that mileage should increase by 15 percent. The transmission also uses a cable-shifter, which should help reduce vibration, and the throw should now be positive and short.

The suspension setup of the Scorpio Classic has also been upgraded and retuned by the company. Mahindra uses MTV-CL dampers on all four struts to help control body roll. The SUV now comes with cruise control, automatic climate control, cornering lamps, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sunglasses holder, diamond patterned fabric seats and more.

The new Scorpio Classic gets a dual-tone theme inside the cabin. It gets a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which runs on Android. It also supports screen mirroring. Also, there are other premium features as well. The dashboard now gets wooden inserts and the cabin is offered in a black and beige color combination. The steering wheel now gets a leather finish and piano-black inserts. The seats are also new and made of fabric, but introduced with a new pattern.
