Mahindra & Mahindra’s XUV500 was first launched in 2011 with 2 variants, the same W6 engine in two-wheel drive only. Also, these include a 6-inch monochrome infotainment display on the W6, two airbags, ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and disc brakes on all wheels. The W8 can be specified in two- or four-wheel drive. The W8 includes GPS navigation, six airbags, a touch screen, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with rollover mitigation, hill hold and hill descent control, alloy wheels and leather bags. Later in 2013, the company added the W4 base variant.
