Astronaut, physician, and former military pilot, Frank Rubio, shared insights at the event in Washington, emphasizing the unique benefits of studying cancer cells in space.
Operating aboard the International Space Station (ISS), situated approximately 400 kilometers above Earth, Rubio has spearheaded extensive research into cancer biology. According to Rubio, “Research conducted in space accelerates the understanding and treatment of cancer cells due to their rapid aging process in microgravity conditions.”

The approval by the IAU underscores the global recognition of India’s contributions to space science.
