Realme, surprisingly, emerged as the most popular smartphone brand in the first half of 2023, despite experiencing a decline in industry rankings over the past 6 months. The latest market share report shows Realme at the fifth position behind Samsung, Vivo and Xiaomi. The setback prompted the company to reevaluate its market strategy and focus more on the sub-30,000 segment. The driving force behind the brand’s popularity is probably being attributed to the Realme 10 Pro+ and Realme 11 Pro smartphones. These smartphones offer curved displays and the latest camera technology in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment, which has seen stiff competition and multiple launches this year. Not just this, Realme is aggressively targeting the Rs 20,000 market with its C series and Narzo series of products.
